Main Body Part V.
The “Lady Panther” of Cartier Part II.
After coming back from the expedition, Jeanne Toussaint was inspired to create a lot of new products, all of which were sold out. She also quickly became the head of the silver department in the Cartier company. Louis Cartier’s third younger brother: Jacques Cartier, at this time, became aware of the delicate, secret love affairs between Louis Cartier and Jeanne Toussaint. He secretly hired a private eye to follow up the investigation, and made a small report to his father Alfa Cartier. After the old father knew that, he was furious and wanted to order that, Jeanne Toussaint must be driven out of the Cartier company. However, in connection to the popularity of Jeanne Toussaint in the jewelry design circle at that time, her departure was bound to cause a huge loss for the Cartier company. So the old father met Jeanne Toussaint in private, and gave her two ways: either to stay in the Cartier company and keep shining, but uncompromisingly draw a demarcation line with Louis Cartier; or to take a sum of money, get away to a faraway place, and leave the Cartier company without coming back again.
